My bike had a new ECU fitted a few weeks ago after the mounting lugs were accidentally broken at the dealer. Anyway the new ECU is a different brand (haven't removed the seat yet to see which). But having complained about the quality of the mapping in the past, (to rich, back fires while warming up etc). I finally got around to going for a decent ride today. Bike started instantly and settled into a solid idle - this never changed from cold to hot. Engine definitely feels like it's running much closer to optimum. As some will know from my previous posts I don't settle for subjective observations and the bike has been on the dyno on a number of occasions with various maps and pipes (graphs in previous posts). This is enough of a difference to warrant another dyno run - my gut feeling is we'll be seeing better numbers throughout the rev range.
Three hours to 2017 down here and I'm posting about my bike - I think I have my priorities just right. Although the beers are going down very nicely. Thank you Oregon I guess for starting the craft beer revolution that brought me the amazing Panhead APA Supercharger!
Wishing everyone a prosperous New Year - 2017 is shaping up to be a very interesting year...
