Which would YOU have......?

Literally a wild ride.
The originals could quickly catch the unwary rider out.
Grabbing a bit too much throttle exiting turns, it could lift the front right off the ground.
Extremely high pucker factor.

Only one bike, for the rest of yer life !? No brainer for me!

There’s only one bike type that can pretty much do it all, from scratching with your mates (amazingly well), to riding across continents - and everything in between. If the tarmac runs out, no problem!

Mid size/or big bore adventure bike for me please! With a large dollop of Orange. Swap the nobbies’ for grippy Trail Attack III’s and you’ve got one hell of a road bike! If you never tried one then yer misssing out - a real blast!

That’s not a Norton
It’s not British
It’s not hand made
It’s not boutique
It’s not air cooled

It is mass produced on a assembly line
It’s spare parts are readily available

But has it ever been ridden around the world?

Your question was hypothetical Voodooo and you‘re suprised by a hypothetical response? Nothing to do with Norton.

Has an adventure bike ever ridden around the world 🤣?

Thats what these big adventure bikes were built for - the 1290 Adv wouldn’t be my first choice for a RTW trip, I’d go lighter where possible but the 1290 would do it without raising a sweat!

Completed a circumnavigation of Aus on a 990 Adv in 2017 - it didn’t miss a beat. The modern Adventure bikes are without doubt the most versatile motorcycles ever built.

Thank you messrs McGregor and Boorman!

Hi Voodoo , Great story . That seat looks like it would be comfortable with a thick cushion.
Here’s my 2023 desert sled, the seat is pretty comfortable to me. They offer a few different seat options on ducati accessories catalog.

I was really hoping Norton would have made the Atlas bikes.
The desert sled scrambler is a 803 air cooled. I like it.
