Uh-oh!

Works perfectly for draining the oil tank.

My oil filters arrived today from Amazon, finally. The bike was going to started over a week ago but I discovered that I had no filters on hand. Damn it! New filters were just delivered late this afternoon. I got three.

New filter and oil filled and ready for start up. Pushed the magic green button and she fired right up. Sounded fine with zero smoke! Verified that oil return was taking place. All good. No test ride because of shit weather. Might not happen until spring at this point. I'm fairly certain all is good in Nortonland.

Good news then Larry - after all you have been through I all will be fine!

Ugh! The dreaded "wrench off" K&N leakers. These were found to fail at the spot welds on the silly nut. Banned from many racetrack organizations in US. Were recalled a few yrs back after too many reports of failures. So.e no doubt were owners using the nut to torque up filter but have heard several first hand reports of owners saying they only tightened by hand as specified and still failed. One guy on the triumph rat forum had his Bonneville engine seize up from one. Got k&n to fund a replacement engine.

A solution looking for a problem IMHO.
