Matt — your post about Alistair Laurie's custom Triumph triples brings back fond memories of the Isle of Man TT during the early 80s. I saw Alistair's creations in the flesh many times when we walked along the Promenade in Douglas, gazing at the bikes on show. At the time, I thought they were beautifully executed customs and on par with the world's best. I seem to remember that he produced some custom twins as well.
 
Aye , if I recall right , first came to light in the Antipodes in Classic Bike , a pre-unit twin with exquiste curves in the exhausts .

The corellation of Art , Enginnering and Science . The hand building of production bikes may have had its drawbacks , but the
primal products produced 8) :D were ripe for honeing and refinement . Though some ! :wink: took it a few stages beyond that .
