T140 spark plugs

NGK numbers do not directly transfer over to the stock Champions. Triumph uses N3 and Norton uses Champion N7. The NGK BP7ES covers both of these, somehow.
I have had very good results using the DENSO IW22 iridium plugs in my Atlas, and would like to use them in a T140.
I believe the N3 is hotter than the N7...if you ran the N3 in a Norton it would be reading bright white all the time. How the NGK covers both heat ranges is a mystery. Anyone know?

T140V or T140E (D, and later) as the T140E etc. uses a hotter Champion N5/N5C or NGK B6ES.

But are not Champs "hotter as you get higher" directly the opposite of NGK heat range?

Yes.

LABs point is 100% correct. Put ’normal’ Triumph plugs in an E and you are at very high risk of running issues caused by plug fouling... don’t ask me how I know...!

I believe the correct Denso for a T140E is the IW20, at least, that’s what I’m using.

Thanks for this. Been using NGK8 or Champion N4 for years. Time for a change to iridiums. Have a feeling they will be a great pairing with the Pazon.
