Norton Atlas battery boxes and oil tanks

Here’s the question. Are all Atlas oil tanks and battery boxes the same dimensions or did they vary from year to year?
 
AFAIK, the same.

I bought a spare oil tank from ebay, (date of mfg unknown) but proved same as my original.

What is your problem?

Want to go from a fiberglass central tank back to original and just wanted to be sure a used one will fit

I do not think you will have any problem. Watch out for bodged up top mount bracket on oil tanks offered for sale. See my Resource.... page 7 in Resources tab.
