Hi
More stand questions.
Here is a photo of the side stand. It has had some work done on it somewhere along it's life.
The issue is how much curvature it should have and how the stop works.
RIght now the stand when stored will hit the silencer before the stop hits the lower frame. (do these have a rubber cap to cushion against the frame?)
So do the stand leg need more of a bend, or is there supposed to be something to cushion against the frame?
This photo shows the stop and how it does not touch the frame due to impacting the silencer.
N15 side stand ?

This photo shows the side stand extended to show the curvature.
N15 side stand ?

Thanks in advance

Mark

side stand should be straight, no bend at all from the pivot to the foot. No rubber on that stop. Mine also has a 1/4" rod brazed to it, about 3" long with a bend to it, that allows you to get a toe on the side stand to swing it out.

Bill or anyone who can help.

Could you post a photo of that toe kick 1/4" rod?
I would think it would come off the lower edge of the foot, which would be the forward edge when extended.
Is it curved or fitted around the silencer, with just a bit extending out?

Thanks

I have a leftover G15 sidestand, but it's been cut, then re-welded on a large piece of pipe. The "root" end is still original. I think I also still have the centerstand, but I believe it's also been butchered (apart from the "root" end)
