A very enjoyable watch, thanks.
A few weeks ago I test rode a Triumph Tiger 900, the new model, which in my opinion, had quite a quiet exhaust and just sounded modern with a fairly mechanically noisy engine when revved. I couldn't hear the new sound that all of the testers rave about because of the new crank intervals either. It was quite a nice bike but not for me.
I had gone to the showroom on my T160 which has peashooters on. After the test ride, I got back on the T160, and straight away, the quality of the exhaust note along with the engine noise/whine that the triples have just put a smile on my face. It just sounded to me, by comparison, sooo much nicer. The old triples do have a unique sound which I think is quite different, not that I'm biased of course
Maybe Euro 5 has something to do with it the lack of "good" noise?
