When I took my motorcycle license test, I rode a Triumph Tiger around in the parking lot at the DMV. Doing that at a crawling speed was challenge enough to get my license in the early 1970's. I don't think there were any motorcycle safety courses back then, but I didn't look into it
Much later in life: The local college in the town I was living in had a huge parking lot upon which a company did these multiday motorcycle riding safety courses. I used to blow past that lot at about 70 mph on my 996S. Real mature in my late 40's early 50's. Anywho, I've kept my motorcycle license up since the 1970's. I've never taken a motorcycle safety course. Generally too busy having fun to consider it. I sure as heck wouldn't take one now. They'd be telling me to shift with my left foot and trail brake with my right foot. How would that help?
Don't forget to add organ donor to your license application.
