Some threads ago someone had a nice engine stand out of wood.
I was tired of heaving heavy powerplant assembly in and out of frame when doing "projects".
This is my wooden cylinder.
Sure makes a difference.

Dead trees are always an alternative for many things. I use them to make temporary spacers or to replace bearings when using a smaller axle when doing mock ups.

Hehe, now that is a first for me and cleaver as can be! At my place I'd have
to resin coat it to keep the boring bees drilling it and termites out and moisture from swelling and distorting it over a season or so.
