An illustrated article (click on link below) about a tour of Europe by a group of motorcyclists in 1953. They flew the bikes — two Triumphs, two Sunbeam twins and a Brough Superior — from Kent to Paris. It must have been a real adventure at the time. Helmets were not obligatory but the gentlemen and the lady had to be properly turned out...

AHC 963 is an Al uminium Tiger Hundred . Very Nice . Etc . Nothing like doing things in style .

Some peope would have you belive they had six motorcycles each and alternated the between ovehauls , and were followed by a oil tanker to replenish that lost in leaks .Take no notice of them . Though Im not sure if your drawn to the Brough or the sceenary . We'll put it down as " Both , Actually " . :D

The Staff Cars at checkpoint charlie must be Borgwards . Probably stange men in hats and raincoats lurk in the shadows .

Yes , good stuff , we're not to sure if the traffic light was a articularly good invention .Amongst other things .Parking metres
and other marvels of modern tecnology .

thanks .

Good observation on the Borgwards. Whenever traffic lights fail, traffic flows better. I can put up with parking meters but speed cameras are inventions of the devil. Things were less complicated and people generally had more freedom in the 50s, but then as now, if you have disposable income, the world is your oyster.
