EV drawbacks

An academic with 38 years experience in building fires explains the processes in a lithium battery fire.

PROF. PAUL CHRISTENSEN
Through his research under the Faraday Institution funded ReLiB and Safebatt projects, PAC has sought to inform first responders of the risks and hazards of lithium-ion batteries and hence (hopefully) to avoid
injuries when dealing with LiB fires and explosions involving (principally) electric vehicles and battery energy storage systems. He has given more than 100 presentations to first responders across the world as well as help and advice on an ad hoc basis.
He is the Senior Advisor to the National Fire Chiefs Council and serves on
a number of UK Government and British Standards Institute working and
governance groups. He is the recipient of 2022 Motorola Foundations
Knowledge Event Series award from the Australasian Fire and Emergency
Service Authorities Council for a lecture tour of Australia, Tasmania and New
Zealand. PAC has over 180 publications in international journals and an
H-Index of 53

Who Thought up this Idea for Texas?
Go big or go home. Unfortunately.... for humans,... weather flips you the finger.
Solar Panels do not produce any power at night but also stop producing when the hail takes them out in a weather system.
These environmentalists keep trying to blow fairy dust up your butt hole, but I say. Don't Piss down my back and tell me its raining.

Amen.

Love it. More of this Please.
Whoever thought up putting bat boxes on the poles meant for ulez cameras is a genius
I'm not sure of all the legalities but supposedly you are not allowed to touch or disturb a bat box so they can't fit their cameras
That can save you £12.50 a day every time you leave your driveway if you have a non compliant car or motorcycle
I'm still wondering how paying £12.50 a day is cutting pollution 🤔🤔🤔🤔

The EV craze is fading, its in early stages, but its fading. There will be a niche that it fits into but there is no long term support system and developing one is neither practical nor cost efficient. And as the environmental impact becomes more prominent that rising crescendo of resentment will be the Greenies howling about all the negative environmental impact of building a battery powered vehicle.

Once the EV propaganda machine subsides as sales of EV's continues to falter as all the incentive money has been drained the politicians are going to need a new incentive horse to ride. Be on the watch for the next newest latest greatest fuel for power source.
Methinks it will be H2. Development is already in play on an international level via automakers and energy developers/providers.

He won again.. 🙄
London has fallen
His hatred of fossil powered vehicles (apart from what he rides around in) is well known
The cycle lanes that nobody wants or uses will no doubt increase
We've got 20 mph limits going up everywhere
Low traffic neighbourhoods
Perfectly good vehicles being scrapped
Pay per mile coming
He doesn't like private vehicle ownership
Knife crime is through the roof you can't see a doctor a dentist or even a copper if you are burgled
Pubs are closing down as are clubs the list is endless
But it's what you'd expect from someone who's the chair of c40 cities
Too depressing for words to be honest

if it wasn't for the monuments and famous buildings you would think you were in the middle east, it bears no resemblance to the London I knew.

Too true !! Not that I have anything against anyone but it is a stark reality when it hits you
To put it in context the last time I went to London was a month back and prior to that it must have been nearly 50 yrs !!!

Peace and love to all and if “ they “ don’t reciprocate join the NRA

🤠🤠👮‍♂️👮‍♂️🚔🚔🚔🚔🤠🤠

I'd make the most of the monuments and statues if I were you
There's a commission of officers whose job it is to go around London removing and changing whatever they feel is now inappropriate
Public transport has been cut year after year
With more and more people being forced onto public transport is a recipe for disaster IMO https://www.london.gov.uk/programme...-realm/work-commission-diversity-public-realm

I haven't been to Khanistan for 33 years, and I have no intention of ever going there. Sadly, sooner or later this country is going to have a civil war.

Sadly I think you are right
The England I grew up in is now gone
I can remember when people used to go into London for a day
Or a night out

No civil war will happen.

Several generations have been mind conditioned to accept whatever bogus bullshit is handed down from on high.
It's been drilled into their skulls since they were little.
The manboys have been emasculated.
That is, here in the US.
