Seems from 1955 Enfields were marketed in the US as Indians, until????......

I managed that on a Triumph once.The cylinder block is fitted back to front? (Or arse-about-face as we might say in the UK.)
I blame having the flu at the time.

There were a fair number of British bikes at this years show and swap meet in Davenport Iowa.

I will be returning to Davenport at the end of August for the Chief Blackhawk show and swap meet. Always a great time.
If youthink about it , it makes sense to fitem that way , airflow & temperature . So likely itts a DELIBERATE mistake . Not pisstake .
