AMCA Swap Meet-March 16, 2019

AMCA Driftless Chapter 1st annual Swap Meet on March 16, 2019 at the Log Cabin in Bangor, WI. East of Lacrosse, WI just off I-90.

I went to the swap meet yesterday. As it was the first one put on it was a smaller event. It probably was also affected by the flooding around the state.
The hall was about 3/4 full. What was nice to see was the quality of what was being sold. No junk. I bought 3 books with information on single cylinder Nortons from the 30s to the 60s for a fair price. The people selling were easy to talk to. If I see information for it again next year, I will try to go as i enjoyed taking the back roads for awhile before getting on the interstate for the rest of the drive back to the house.

Glad you had a good time. I hope the AMCA swap meet in Fredericksburg is at least as good. I will report back on it.

Cheers

Thanks for comment, Franco. Pretty heavy H-D & Indian; wanted to have some British there. Only sold 1 more thing, that went too cheap but wasn't there to make money. Got quite a few new members that day.
Will post next years swap meet. About 50 from Milwaukee chapter coming for camping weekend in Viroqua in Aug.

Several guys from up here are going to Fredricksburg, wish I could. If you know Stanley in that chapter, tell him I said Hi.

Got back from Fredericksburg yesterday. Lots and lots of HD and Indian stuff for sale with a little bit of British and Japanese thrown in. Nice show with many interesting bikes. Counted 4 Norton's, all Commando's. Visited the NTNOA booth and bought $20 worth of tickets for the bike raffle at LOP this fall.
2 new Norton's on display in the swap field but there wasn't anyone to ask questions of!

Nice pics, ground here is white again, but snow will be gone before 20th - maybe go on the flood run to meet friends from twin cities.

Flood run! That doesn't sound like something I would want to do. Hope your friends are doing OK, it's been a stinker of a spring in the mid-west that's for sure.

Flood Run from near St Paul down river road to Winona & back. Charity for childrens cancer hospital. Started by 12 guys that rode to Winona to help sandbag in '65 flood. I prefer county roads, but u don't see Miss River that way.

A good charity and good for you and the others for what you do. I plan on doing the Distinguished Gentleman's ride in September. Do that on the way back from the NTNOA's annual get together at Jefferson Texas.
