This is how you pick up women with a Norton...

Call me a Grumpy Old Git if you like, but I see that Norton Motorcycles (UK) Ltd are claiming some involvement with this advert. Strange then that it doesn't feature a 961 Commando rather than the proper Commando used. There again, I suppose they were just too busy delivering 961's to all those customers who've already paid in full and waited, and waited, and.........

Are you on that list? Do you know someone who is?

No. Yes. And I've ridden a production 961 that convinced me not being on the list was the correct decision.

Could you expand on that as most people seem to rave how good they are unless they dont want to admit they are a pile of poop after paying £12000+ for one.
As for the people that have waited and waited I put a deposit on one at the beginning of Feb for an end of March delivery :o only to be told today at least another 10 weeks
Best

They are just getting their GP1 bike finished- your bike is next in the row.

I have a Commando 961 Sport and although I did have to wait for over six months for delivery it was well worth the wait. I have had it for about six weeks and so far clocked up over 1200 miles and I am very pleased with it, performance and handling are excellent and so is the finish. I have had the first service which was around the same price as a Honda/Yamaha service which is fantastic value considering they collected the bike and delivered it back afterwards.

All well and good until you wake up a few days after to find out that your unit is leaking more fluid than your Norton.

Is that what happened to your 961?

That's why you're supposed to wrap that rascal when you're with some strange. Cj

Of course we all know it's fantasy as any proper Norton owner would be too busy posting on this forum about the virtues of reed valves, single weight oils, rod ends and TriSparks to bother with the randy wench...

I blame Jerry.

Here I was half-joking but here we are, topic has already switched from cheesy (sorry Cheesy!) video and the tasty (?) tart to the 961. Sigh.
