while we are being pedantic about such things;

a bulb is a thing that goes in the ground to grow daffodils & tulips etc

a lamp is a thing that lights up when an electrical current passes through the filament.

Tranny ?? ... I'm going nowhere near that !! my grandaughter has at least taught / indoctrinated me to some small degree even though I protest about " special interest " groups appropriating words from the english langauge to create a new meaning.

I used to call the metal object in the first photo a tranny until my kids crawled all over me for not being PC
