Sooo what did I buy?

I made soooo many parts to make this work I didn't have time to take pics. Parts orders came a month later or not at all! The hole project was fun but the process was awful. I am now trying to get parts out of supplier in England who's web site is not accepting my credit card and then not recognizing my USA address plus Royal Postal strike. What a cluster!

When you start reaching for an adjustable wrench instead of the correct one it is time to stop! That's where I was in August with this project as well as waiting for parts. Started again last week. So I got the knee pads on, seams small but it was major! When they removed the dents from the tank , they stretched the distance between the screw inserts. I ruined a pair of pads trying to relocate hole and make it look like something! Ended up using panel glue, one screw is in the correct hole the other is just glued to pad, that is half a hole off, that is glued to tank. Have not been able to find a tool box that suited me, so I straightened the one I had, looked like kids played kick the can with it. Off to the paint shop with it. Made a right foot peg fit as well as a later ES2 chain guard. Got break light system working. Got seat upholstery complete in baseball glove leather. There is always something to do but I consider it DONE! It'll take me 5 minutes to install the tool box after paint all brackets are made. I'd like to find an original horn and wiring woven sleeve to make it look correct. See pics if anyone knows where to get or has 3/5 feet of it. Thanks When viewing pics remember it's a BITZA!

I tried for years to get enough parts to build a garden gate Inter. I once almost got a frame, but here to get that stuff you need parts to swap for it. I still have trwo upright gearboxes, an oil tank, and a front wheel. Must be easier to get parts where you guys live ?
I know Keith Campbell's brother George who is Geoff Duke's brother-in law. He was around back in the era. He said the Garden Gate bikes looked good but did not hasndle. I do not know why I ever wanted one. There is just something about them which inspires a certain feeling.
 
The almost done saga continues! As I said this thing handles like it has a flat tire! I made new bushings for the girder front end but never ck'd the neck bearings. They had new grease on them so they should be alright, right? Well the girder was tightening on the neck of the frame , not the bearings. I believe it has the wrong size balls.. Anyone know the correct size? These look small and measure .250 see pic. I know one is missing I have it in a bag to take to the bearing house. Try to put it together tomorrow. It's bourbon Friday at the garage and I need it! Buy the way it is a 1934 girder.

I posted a link in the "Things Found On..." forum yesterday to local CL AD for '50 ES2, $3k CDN, seems complete.
I need another Norton like a hole in the head right now. I'll still maintain my dream's caveat of "one day"...
 
.3125 fit perfectly! Rain here but will ride tomorrow. What a fun job, just to change neck bearings! Tools needed - Hydraulic jack, ratchet strap, padded C-clamp, and my wife. With the correct balls it immediately felt better. No play. With the weight off the front tire it will flop to the left or right with just a touch to move it off center.
