Howdy all,
Last weekend I attended A Seniors day here in S.A. for old guys and old bikes.
These two old stagers Jim Scaysbrook #35 (left) and Rod Tingate #86 (right) showed us all just how fast A Norton Manx can go.
Just to prove a point, at the end of the day they competed against all types upto 650cc including 600 Sports bikes and were never headed,
winning and coming second by 1/3 of a lap.

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did...AC.

Thanks for the pics, A.C. The Manxes look great and nice to hear both riders and bikes giving a good account of themselves. That's a tidy G50. And some machines you don't see every day as well.

Here's some more, sorry no 750 Nortons of any discription...
This guy had quite a stable...

Lovely old fella to talk to,..The bike snuffed on the line and I ran out to give him a hand but before I got
there he was off and running,.. bump and away they went, side saddle. 83 years and going strong.
AC.

Thanks for the pictures AC.
These are always the best race days.
The Queensland Historics are on in June, must remember to take the good camera this year.
Last year there was an old fellow who looked in his 70's who rode his Manx (with lights) up from Newcastle, 1000ks or there abouts one way.

My favourite by a long way. Hope I'm still fanging at his age.

Me too. There is guy who is 85 coming from time to time to my buddy's shop, still riding his BMW and rebuilding a couple of pre-war Zundapps, take a look at his web site at http://robertsilas.com/

I hope I can still walk straight at that age :!:

Fantastic photos.

I sure have loved vintage racing; you never know what you'll find in the paddock!
