At Lumby last week I saw a Commando that had cast stainless steel rocker shaft covers that said Scholtz on them. This looked like a one piece unit, which replaces the stacked factory bits. Does anybody know if these are still available? Or an equivalent made by someone else?

There are several people who sell differant types of them. Tim Hughes in Florida makes Stainless or Alloy sets that use O-rings not gaskets. Has anyone used as set of these? He also makes Exhaust nuts and Fork nuts in both that are beautiful. I like the rocker covers that use the standard oval shape instead of some that are cut more straight. Go to Ebay and type "Norton Commando rocker" keep it simple and more posts will come up. Happy hunting.

At some time someone advertised one-piece covers with the capital "N" of the Norton logo cast or engraved in them, are they still around?

One piece spindle covers are available at www.jsmotorsport.com

Use aluminum for cooling. A light smear of silicone on the gaskets makes them leakproof. A light smear of oil on the head mating surface allows them to come off cleanly and then the gaskets are reusable.

The notch prevents the spindle from turning.
