Peter Williams Guest of Honor at Wieze Belgium

Peter Williams Guest of Honor at Wieze Belgium

Peter Williams will be the Guest of Honor at Moto Retro Wieze Belgium, and we will do all what we can so Peter will never forget it.
After Auguste Goffin and Jim Redman, I will do the Interviews from Peter Williams.
I saw him riding many times and at a chat with him two years ago at The Begonia Rally here in Belgium (organisation from the NOC Flanders Branch)
And with the help from the NOC Flanders Branch, Peter Williams accept to be our Guest of Honor at Wieze. It was a reall honor for me to do the interview from Goffin and Jim Redman. The lives off those Gentelmen were already fabulous, but now: Peter Williams, the Godfather from all the Commando owners in the world. Peter was not only an top racer but also a fabulous conceptor. He was the first racer to use wagon weels and disc brakes on his Arter Matchless and he was the man behind the legendary Commando Monocoque, with this bike he was the winner of the TT at the IOM and so many other races, he compete against the biggest names from the sport like Agostini, Hailwood, Read, Pasolini, Duhamel, Bill Ivy and mutch more.
We will also have the pleasure to welcome Michael Braid, the owner of some fabulous bikes and he will bring some of them to Wieze, real ones, no replicas:
Four Nortons:
1: Monocoque JPN
2: Space Frame JPN
3: Thruxton Club
4: Dunstall Domiracer
And also the Arter Matchlees Wagon Weels
This bikes will be on the stand with a lot of Commandos and special framed Commandos
This will not only be the WE of my live but also for the visitors.
If you wish me to ask something to Peter, feel free and ask me, I will do it with pleasure

I will try to have the photos from Michael Braid bikes.
You must know: Belgium is a Nortonland, three of the five Space frames already saled are in Belgium, two of the Red Ferm and a lot of original production racers are here to.
Thanks to the belgiam distributor Laurent Podevin and his team with three Commandos boosted the sales of Commandos in our small country.

I said I would like to come but need to be near a door so I dont miss ferries.

If you can arrange that I will be there. At the shows in UK I get asked by the French
and Belgium guys why I have not been there and i tell them.

Yves it not personal but the difference between a small profit and a large loss.

Let me know if it is possible and I will book ferry and hotel today. If not then try
to arrange it for the next show and I will come as I enjoy the crack with your staff
and the bar must take less if I dont come.

I just call with Yves Demanet, the organisator from Wieze Retro Show, there is no possibility for you the two halls from Wieze are full resrved
Very sad
Yves

Not sad, my French mate Gary Parkin is also stocking chain for me.

No other chain experts so it is the visitors that miss out not me.

I always feel sad when I see photos and videos of Peter Williams. One thing which always worries me when I take my bike to a race circuit, is my own attention to detail. I would have thought that the help provided to PW by the Norton factory would have been better. When I race, which is rarely these days - I always have a helper but I check everything myself. Even then, I often have problems with the bike. To have the seat and tank fall off together during a race, would be horrendous and almost inexcusable.

I think that Peter himzelf was not very happy with the spaceframe, but when you read is book you will not find one bad word about his helpers.
