Oil tank installation

I have a friends bike here with an exchange oil tank that has the modifications done to cap off the chain oiler and eliminate the bottom bolt. I cannot figure out how to get the spacing between the tank and rear fender to all me to get the oil line from the filter connected.The stand pipe is much shorter than mine by about 1 1/2”.I have all fender bolts loose but still no luck.Any help would be appreciated.

Have you fitted a new longer rubber pipe as it will need to be 1 1/2" longer to match the shorter standpipe, also if you fit the pipe to the tank before fitting the tank, then when you fit the tank you can feed the pipe downwards and it should find its natural position.

The 'short' pipe looks as if it's angled out too far and to the left when compared with...
...but still not much space between pipe and mudguard/fender.
