I have been out and about with my Triumph as I move solidly into the shake down part of our relationship. I have noticed that every time I gas up, the Triumph tends to gather a crowd. I had a couple of guy came over and were fawning over it and a lady actually stopped and with her window down said "I really like your bike."

I find this strange because I have been riding my Norton for over a year and this never happens. No one gives it a second glance. The Norton is pretty and shiny and the Triumph is not. I am not understanding the reaction.

My t160 attracts attention but very rarely my commando
Well, the T160 is a freaking handsome bike in its own right. I was going to say the the Norton looks pretty modern and that's why people are not drawn to it but the T160 looks modern as well. I just don't get it.
 
Cause it looks lived in . Norton were MANX to everyone , in 1970 . The Commando was the upstart . But Triumphs had been around in numbers forever , on the road .

1938 . affordable . 80 mph capable . Easy . Breeding we might say . The T - 160 was more contrived & compromised . Less pure in intent & conception . Confused even . Even if still capeable .

A T150s probably better on the dirt , but the 500s a knockabout go anywhere manadgeable capable contraption . Ands quick on the dirt .
got TRIUMPH the No 1 plate A.M.A. . The T 160 is trying to be modernistic again , didnt work on the early triples either .T 150 later is ' classic ' triumph .


Most Triumphs are aware of their superiority ! . :)

Yours is fearfully modern . it was built AFTER the war . If anyone asks .

That brakes got better feel , and as mutch shoe area ? as the T.L.S. , if youve got the muscle , itll pull it up .
you let it right out , on either , a few times , to get air over the shoes , pulling up from all out , or in the hills .
