Lower yoke pinch bolt removal

Do you double nut the 1/4" studs and hope....or am I missing something, 1970 S headlight and yokes...

There's not enough thread to double nut. Here's how I do it:

First Loctite the nut on loosely. Then use an impact to remove.

Sometimes I need to heat up the lower yoke a little. Use only as much Loctite and heat as you need. It might take a few tries.

Once removed, heat the nut to break free the Loctite and use a quality stud remover tool which won't damage the stud. Use it to hold stud shoulder while you unscrew the nut.

Thn elephantrider. I've got some Good stud loctite....loosens as soon as it sees the blue wrench come into wiew afterward.....lol
