Can you use Kreem fuel tank sealer on a fiberglass tank made in the UK?
The Manx style race tank came from Unity Equip many years ago & was incompatible with North American fuel & was sealed with POR15 at the time.
The tank is now leaking again after a crash.
Their brochure states that it's not compatible with all fiberglass tanks.

I wouldn't put Kreem on or in anything. It should not even be allowed on the market. It is horrible stuff and should be avoided at all costs.

'Don't know about Kreem as I was told many years ago to avoid it at all costs, but I hope you survived the wreck intact.

I can recommend Caswell - just make sure you follow the instructions regarding prep absolutely to the letter.

Done a few tanks with great results. I have just done the tank on my special and have used the red coloured one - someone suggested that it would be a good idea, as in thirty years when there is even more added chemicals in our fuel, if i see any red flecks come through to the carb, I know the issue!!!

Couldn't fault the logic, so went for it!

I've used Kreem in the past with OK results but that was long before ethanol fuels, and I rinsed the tank with muriatic acid before doing anything else. The last tank I sealed I used Caswells and it worked great. Much easier and less noxious fumes than Kreem, and not nearly as picky about surface prep.

Put POR15 in a tank 10 years ago, have had 10% ethanol gas in it continuously since, absolutely no deterioration. Follow direction religously, make sure tank is absolutely dry, hair blower or heat gun, before putting the final coating in. Let cure a month if you can.

I tried Kreme in an Interstate tank..it was a disaster....a professional company charged me $100 to remove it and then do the job properly with an epoxy liner...I would never use that stuff again......

theres a reason Caswell advertises fixing Kreem and Por-15 on there box....

I know the topic is regarding a fiberglass tank. Did the Kreem 3 part kit almost 11 years ago in a metal Roadster tank. Still intact. Went by the instructions. Took me a few days to do the whole process.

I have used Caswell as well in two fibreglass tanks with excellent results. The hardest part for me was making sure none got on the exterior paint. I wrapped the tank like a cocoon with shipping plastic and a layer of painters tape around the gas cap (this is the area to be carefull with.

Another vote for Caswell. I think it's more forgiving than Kreem or POR, insofar as the prep and surface conditions are concerned. Caswell seems to adhere to ANYTHING as long as it's dry.
