Kenny Dreer breaks into 6 sec 1/4 mile

Kenny makes it into the 6 second club, some say more prestigious than
the Mile high club, Not bad for a senior citizen (The back of the
drag bike has a logo "Caution senior citizen").

Kenny has been chasing this for years, sadly it isnt on a Norton, but
a Suzuki instead, broke a lot of parts getting there too. Its not
easy going fast.

Some of the other racers teased him about this, said he would have
made the 6 second club a long time ago if he would run race fuel
instead of that diesel fuel he has been running, (NOTE: the black
smoke during the run)

Kenny is quick to point out with a nitrous system pumping out over
250hp boost alone in addition to the motors HP
you WANT to run fat, He has blown up enough engines already. Last
weekends runs culminated in finally getting the fuel right, the boost
right, the clutches right, tire pressure and the long list of other
variables that make it into a 6 second pass.

Doug,

Here you go - first pass on Sunday morning, the temp was cool with a slight
cloud cover, ideal conditions. We worked on the tune all day Sat, we knew
this was going to be the run.

Later in the day (in the heat of the day) I backed up the morning run with a
6.945 slightly quicker than the am run. Unfortunately I red lit in the first
round of finals.

Thread title is off by two HUGE seconds.

Actually, he broke the 7 second quarter mile and is now into the 6s.
