Don't know if you guys have seen the new magazine Junk Magazine www.junkmotorcyclemagazine.com
It's a new UK mag, and it has some beautiful Vintage Custom bikes, couple pages per bike
1947 knucklehead
1948 matchless 350
1953 triumph
a jap 500 bobber
1948 bsa m33
an ariel 350 street tracker
a yamaha sr500 and some other triumphs

If you pick one up, like it, and decide to subscibe tell him pelican told you about it.

I tried to get it and when I told him that pelican sent me, he doubled the price.

Some of the "ol' skool" stuff is neat to look at, but some things, like car-type tires, especially on the front, are more of a fantasy about the past than any representation of nostalgia. Making a bike look like an old hotrod pickup with whitewalls, red wheels and flat black paint is something that just never happened. Plus, most customs from back in the day were just the ruination of an otherwise potentially nice machine.

To stay on point- mick hemmings did the sweet triumph motor, the jap has an OLD norton gearbox (vertical- shifter directly above kickstart), lots of rare parts on these bikes
Anyway I think they're cool. You certainly don't see bikes like this in the US very much if at all.

I followed the link. All I could see is part of an old knuckle in a goose-neck frame. Is there more somewhere or do we have to cough up the 20 pounds to see the rest?

That will work to check it out. I really dig Sideburn but could use another fix.
