Went to this show yesterday down in Miami - in Wynwood, the art district. Neighborhood bar supplied the beer and a vintage bike-oriented design shop, 'Old Soul, Young Blood' organized it. It was just over 40 miles, on a mild a clearing morning, and the Commando was running great (hit 5500 RPM in 4th on the way down 8) ). Ran into several other Ft. Lauderdale area people down there.

Interesting mix of bikes and people. I thought I took pics of some of the more interesting characters, but found I had only shot some of the more interesting (to me) bikes.

I left around 4:30. Show was scheduled to go on to 1AM. Rode back to Ft. Lauderdale with Clive on his Dommie and Herb on his Triumph Rocket III (19S rode back in the van with Clive's wife).

There was an interesting attachment on the Super Rocket, which you can just catch in the pics. The factory installed a gutter under the carb to direct any gas spill away from the Magneto. It seems that under testing, if the float stuck, gas would splash onto the mag and start a fire!

Great pix. Great paint on "Clives Doommie" is it custom or is that the way they were painted originally?

Nice brochures Bill . I never heard of the Saar Grand Prix before, very interesting.

Great pix Bill! That Dommie, looks amazing!

Yeah, Clive has quite a collection. He's got a few Triumphs, but is partial to Norton and Matchless. He's got a G80CS and a Manxman in his living room. His wife usually runs around on a '71 Velocette LE - ugliest bike ever made.

That 99 is a pretty strong runner - had no problem on the Interstate for the 25 miles or so we traveled it.
