Fastback Tail Measurement

I bought a bike with a LR tank and seat. I couldn't find a tail section with the badge mount that I am partial to, so I got the badge less type.

Could someone that has an original badge type tail take a measurement? Badge to end of fairing.

I am going to fit it a little lower and glass it in but I don't have an accurate measurement.

7.25 inches from the back of the tail piece to the closest side of the ring on my '68.

I will see what I can do but I need to reset my photo bucket password and re-learn how to post pictures. The British Bike Bits picture does not look the same as the original tail piece. The original is flatter on top and has a smoother transition into the rest of the tail piece.

Let's see if this works: I re-checked the measurement and it is actually 7 inches and not 7.25 inches.
