My WM3-18 rear rim on my S2 is bent. Looks like not repairable.
My question is: is a WM3-18 from a BSA-Tri punched the same? I have plenty of WM2-19
from Nortons but none other to compare the angles of the holes.
Can someone tell me if I can use BSA-Tri or could someone post a few clear closeup pix of
the holes on one so I can compare?

45638 is for both series 1A and 2, both take a 40 hole WM3-18 rim. I believe the lace pattern is actually the same as a norton (cross 4). You'll want to double check that. There's a tolerance for how far off you can be based on spoke size, angle, etc...

If the flanges on the hub are spaced closely and the offset is not severly different and the PCD of the spoke holes are similar it should work, but make sure to check.

So it perhaps would do to find an WM3-18 from an Atlas?

Yes, the 18" Atlas rim will fit a Commando (with the correct spokes), so it should fit an Interceptor hub, which is about the same dimensions.

Thanks on that, I was pretty sure after comparing it to my Commando rear.

Im still looking for a good Dunlop WM3-18 rim. If you have one Im interested.
