Does anyone know anything about Norton International racing in the US in the late 1940's

I am doing an article on a Norton International, imported to the US with Manx parts. I assume that this bike would have been legal for Class C racing. I also understand that Dick Klamforth was riding a Manx at Daytona until Manxes got banned in the early Fifties. Were Internationals raced in the US and if so where and by whom?
