Hi All,

Among my coming winter improvements is the fitting of a Commando rear wheel to benefit of the hub cush-drive. At first sight, iIt doesn't seem too complex. As far as you know, are there some tricky points to consider?

Many thanks for any hints and tips.

PS : I'll stay with the Dominator rear chain and gearbox sprocket (a bit narrower than Commando ones) and hence will have the rear drum/sprocket re-machined to accomodate the chain.

Hmmm. different axle length, Commando and pre Commando use different axle threads,
different axle spacers
You will need to shorten or replace with pre Commando the brake plate locating bolt
All shouldnt be to much drama

I've done this, you can get a Dommie dummy axle which is the correct length but has a bigger spacer, and machine the spacer to the same size as a Commando spacer. This will then fit in the Commando brake drum as normal. You can then still use your Dommie rear axle.

Thanks to you both, gentlemen. Looks feasible even for an averagely gifted and equipped as I'm.

Laurent.
