I don't tend to buy mags these days because a) they're nearly a fiver a pop, and b) since getting a Commando all my reading time is consumed in workshop manuals ;)

Anyway, if you're interested (or even if you're not) the recent copy of Classic Bike mag has a some Norton related pages..

Nice one. I might just buy this months

You missed another reason off your list of why you don’t often buy them any more… they’re often very boring…

To be fair, I only picked it up this morning and haven't read it. This one may not be any better.

Actually, after having a read last night, I think I'd probably give it a miss ;)

What’s gone wrong with these magazines?

How can they make a magazine that’s heavy on classic Norton content… that’s a boring read for classic Norton enthusiasts ?!?

Well, in fairness, it's not really 'heavy' on Norton content, there's 6 or 7 pages, and I doubt it will tell you anything you don't already know.

You may, along with many others, find it a right riveting read.

Maybe, after so many years, there's only so much of the same stuff that one can re-read.

The V7 Guzzi is tasty.

Read somewhere long ago that the average mag sub was three years then the reader moves on. After 50 years of bikedom I think there isn't too much that is new at a magazine level. If you belong to a club then you may run into new information. For instance, at a Trident club meeting recently I got to see the original drawings for the interior of Trident raygun and torpedo silencers. Waited for years to see this. Not the thing most mags will cover.

I continue to read Classic Bike Guide as it kinda of reminds me of my excellent memory ….. , seems most info is another rehash , of a rehash originally published in 60’s-70’s ….

I used to get Classic Bike from the library, but having stopped drinking I now buy it as needed something to cheer me up. Here in NZ we've only just received the January copy.
