I gave $3500 for a 73 850 in about the same condition. Tossed the fairing, sissy bar, luggage rack, stripped to the frame and repainted the frame, polished the tank and side covers, chrome and aluminum. cleaned the carbs, new batter, freshened all the electrical connections, rebuilt brakes and converted to dot 5. new tires, chain. I put about $700 into it and it runs beautifully for the last 4 years now. And looks like a million bucks, but for $4200.

The MKIII might cost a little more to sort with the ES and all but that one sure looks straight.
