Battle of Britain 80 year anniversary

Just been reading up on the Civil War (ain't that an oxymoron if ever there was!)... Seems for every soldier that died in battle another six died of disease. And more Americans died in that war than all the others put together since. (Might be common knowledge to you, but all new to this boy)

I know.. Had to be modified to accept them too. Merlins aren't small, nor inverted as were the DB 605's. The US had to use them also because they were the best going for high altitude for a good while. Some good doc's on yout on that screamer those young men were riding behind. Leaves one wondering. Britts did some amazing things in those days.
