I need a battery for my 71,750 I have been using a hand me down HD battery from my other bike but now need to get one that is correct.
What is the correct one? AMPs, capacity etc.
Nothing fancy but one that is correct for the bike and charging system.

Riders Manual Book say 12V 8 amp-hrs ....my bike has Yuasa 8.4Ah (20hr) /135A cca ... that what was available and right size at local shop .... it is AGM type and I think this is Year 7 for it .... kept on tender at all times when not riding bike ... hope this helps
My bike is ‘72 750 Roadster
 
So... what you need ism s 12v 8 amp-hrs. Beyond that, one that fits well into your battery tray. Strongly advise
going with the AGM type rather than the cheapo unsealed lead acid type.
