Dear Norton Enthusiasts,
Please note Andover Norton have their first “Open Day” on 31st October, starting at 9.30AM.

It looks set to be the biggest gathering of old Norton employees for many years. People you may have heard of and read about in Norton books plan to attend: Peter Williams, Richard Negus, Mike Jackson, Bob Rowley, Bob Reynolds, Nick Hopkins, Keith Blair, and no doubt a few others like our local Norman White and John McLaren. This is your opportunity to ask them about their lives in the Norton factories and in the factory race team.

You can meet the company owners Katrin, Tim and Christine Seifert and grill them about their hobby, Norton motorcycles, riding and racing them, and about their future plans for the company.

You will meet the staff of Andover Norton and, again, talk Norton motorcycles with our two buyers who have owned and ridden Commandos for many years, and director Joe Seifert (me) who has ridden and raced Nortons since the mid-1970s.

We will be happy to hear your ideas how we can improve our services for you, the Norton owners, and what spares you want us to add to our range.

Please send us a short mail to openday@andover-norton.co.uk if you plan to come. As this is a first for us it will help us to get an idea how many visitors to expect.

Hi Joe,
I would certainly like to participate.
But this warning was posted too close to the event to which you were unable to attend.
For next year it would be appropriate to publicize the event well in advance to allow foreign participation enthusiasts.
Ciao
Piero

Excellent, the weather was good (God obviously owns a Norton and blessed the day with lovely sunshine) and there was a good turn out despite the National Motorcycle Museum having a free open day. Commando and rotary spares were on view, some were surprised by the amount of rotary spares still held and available. The staff were constantly busy and the consensus would seem to be that there will be another open day in the future.
