Looking at the 1975 MKIII wiring diagram, the points/coil wires are shown as Black/Yellow and White/Black. Earlier Norton wiring diagrams and every British twin I've seen use Black/Yellow and Black/White. Anyone have a MKIII with an original harness to verify the colors?

In section C39 of the Mk3 manual the points wires are: "black and yellow or[and] black and white".

Then, in the next sentence: "yellow/black"!

Black/yellow and black/white I believe is correct.

I saw that too - the manual doesn't agree with itself; and, I'm 99% sure that BY/BW is correct.

I'm trying to be sure my wiring helper page is correct (and the manual is wrong) so I can say something definitive about it on the page. Hopefully a coupe of people with original MKIII wiring will respond.

I'm a little late in answering but I'm working on one now for a friend the wires are indeed blk/white and blk/yellow.
