Well I got the harness on and I'm trying to sort it out. But right after the harness french fried I got the bike running and rode it for three hours after I isolated the the fried wires. During the last hour of riding I took a turn with the bike and it lost power and stalled. I waited 15 min and tried the bike again it started right back up ran about 5 min and loss of power and stalled again . I waited 5 min and the bike started and ran for 5min and died again. After I put the harness on the bike ran for 10 min and died again. This one has me stumped. Any ideas???

Did you check battery Voltage (E-ignition?)? If the battery is bad or isn't being charged properly it could produce those symptoms. It could run fine for a while as the batt slowly discharges, then quit, then - after a few minutes to recover, run for a bit, quit again as the voltage drops and do that a couple of times before not being able to run at all.

What are you doing putting a fried harness back on to the bike? It really hard to answer problem questions when you have a obviously dangerous bad harness. Ditch it and get a new one. 9 out of 10 breakdowns are due to aged decaying electrics. Spend $180 and get a new one and peace of mind.

I did get a new harness from commando specialties and that's what I put on the bike. I am not sure I hooked it all up properly due to the fried harness but I am pleased with the product. It pretty much fell right into place and looks good. It was a drop in the battery as usual you guys are awesome and someone else is having the same problem with the charge not getting to the battery so I am going to follow the wires and see what my problem is today after work. Thanks again.
