I bought some footpeg rubbers that were supposedly for the N15CS (listed as both Matchless and Commando, hmmm) and they were not correct at all. Way too long at 4" depth inside, vs 2.75" of the footrest. Also, the diameter of the steel on the footrest is .72", whereas the diameter of the rubbers is .50". They were difficult to get on, looked like garbage, and split due to the end of the metal having a retaining ridge that cuts through the rubber.

Given it's a Matchless frame, I tried finding the right ones and came up with 010847 part number, but they are the ones I bought and are wrong. I reckon thick rubber hose from the hardware store would be better, or just run them without. But I'm never first to the party so if someone knows what would correctly fit my bike I'd be grateful.

Those would work on a P11. You could cut them along that line around the frame side end before the hump and they might fit. Depends on how much you care about them being original looking. Talk to Walridge or Baxter. They may have a clue about the correct footpeg rubber.

Yeah that's where I was headed, get something working for now. I hacked off the one that split and swapped ends, maybe this will be OK. I have one new one but possibly two, could cut better and add 1/2" or so length.

Did it split while you were putting it on? I forget how I put mine on. It was a long time ago. I'd use a heat gun if doing it again, and possibly something slippery. Once on they don't spin or move off. That hook like end on the footrest rod keeps them in place.

My White parts book doesn't have part numbers for the N15CS or the P11 footrest rubbers. Says 19983 Footrest rubbers ALL except G15CS, N15CS, P11, P11A. I wonder if you have CSR footrests.

Riding without the rubber footrests is not a good long day on the saddle of a paint shaker.

I don't think they came with the rubbers, I think the tab on the end was to keep your boots from sliding off. The part # for the arms on the CS are 02-9859 and the part # for the Mark II is 01-8601 I think the Mark II didn't have the tab, there is a pair of those on e-bay now.

Yes, perhaps none came with the bike. That tab makes putting the ones I got very difficult. I let them sit in some very hot water and then had to use a rubber mallet. The split happened after riding it for a while, that end is a natural rubber slicer. I should have known. I have two parts PDFs, 66-68 says all except', which seems correct. the 63-68 one says all and is not correct. I'll just cut them to size as best I can.
