Pretty dang nifty, except I've never liked the "tail happy" look.

Some bikes (to me) seem ugly by design. This one, without the bodywork, not so much.

The one in the top photo of course is lacking most of it's bodywork, so could be made to look 8 different ways, depending on the whims of the board of directors of the company that produces it [within a certain scope of technical limitations constrained by the apparatus hiding beneath].

I think this one looks mechanically cool. I don't particularly care for the KTM/BMW inspired headlight dressing, but I'd take weeks to come up with something i like better.

I would lower the height of the rear subframe to a level more in line with an average rider's inseam hight. i do not like the tail in the air look.

Depends on if the rear suspension is on a soft setting, so that when a rider sits on bike seat goes down 3-4 inches.

Or if it has strong firmly damped long travel rear suspension, it may need all that space under the seat. !
Yes, looking pretty in its underwear is not a sales requirement these days...

Those french, they do a few versions of HD engines in similar looking beasts.
Although Y has pulled the rug from under all their feet, with the MT-01 ??
This one has some see-through components ?!!

Not to worry about some UFO hodge podge of new age design for sake of sales innovation of another corner cripple, wait till a tri-linked Commando with some grunt gets on line to set peckking orders straight with a real motorcycle. Just because they can make engine a stressed component on a mono shock don't mean they should...
