Hi All, going to change my tyres from TT100 to RRs. I have 4.10 x19 fr & rr, thinking of fitting the 90/100 fr & 100/100 rear, only thing is I don't know if it will look "right" under the Norvil front 'guard, I might have to lower it to make it look better, I have read here I think that the smaller tyre makes it turn better, any thoughts please?

Cheers, Paul.

I think most of us (not all) go with the 90/90-19 out front and the 90/100-19 on the back.

I don't think I would say that the 90-90 front turns better as that is an opinion but it will make it turn in faster. for my riding style I prefer the 90-90.

Hi- I recently put the Avons on my '68, and went with the 100's front and rear (I believe it's the same tire, different rotation). No clearance issues, and I really like the handling and ride so far. Not sure if the Norvil fender is that much different from my stock/original fender, but the tires are real nice.

Are you using WM2 rims with the 100's or did you go larger?

Stock 19" rims, original to the bike. No problems with fitment, no clearance issues at all. If you think about it, it's only 10mm which is what, 4/10s of an inch? So less than a quarter inch difference per side clearance wise. But again, I don't know if the Norvil rims are different from the stock originals. I guess you could measure the clearance that you have all around and see if you have enough room?

Might depend on the handle bar width. The narrow tire takes less effort, so if narrow bars or clip ons might be feel better. With the type of bars that roadsters came with in the US...mine, I prefer the wider front tire's feel, more sure footed.

100/90s both ends steer beautifully and when the rear is worn out the front goes on the rear and the new one to the front. Works for me.
