Hi
here is a photo of how the brake switch installation was when bike arrived.
Is this a OEM installation?

The replacement switch has a different body, round button shaped rather than a rectangle.

Here's what mine looks like:

Kind of hard to see, but look for the fresh cad plated fastener on my brake pedal.

The standard Lucas-style switch, and the adjuster has a flat piece brazed to it to align with the button on the switch. My Ranger has a similar setup using the same switch.

I can just make it out I think, based on your description.
Question, describe the adjuster, is it just threaded rod with the plate brazed on the end and use nuts to lock it, Or is it a bolt?

Its a bolt with the small plate brazed to the head - maybe 3/8" x 3/4". 1/4 CEI with a nut to lock it in place. The head of this bolt is a tall 3/16 head, which has the plate brazed to it.

So the bolt threads into the brake pedal from behind, and the locknut screws onto this bolt on the front

Original part numbers were 02-9245 - 1/4x26 nut
03-3019 - 1/4x26 stop light/brake pedal bolt for G15, N15, P11A
