William Dunlop killed

The question in my mind is about why he was so far over to his right and not in the middle of the road, where there is less likelihood of interrupted surfaces. Might have been 'brain-fade' ?

acotrel . Trust me theres no roadracer in the universe coming on to an AccessNorton sub forum looking for advice from you. The man had over 100 road races wins under his belt and even more podiums. You are in no position to question what happened. Be it human error or mechanical failure the world has lost a superstar so just show some respect.

When you lose one of the top guys, there is definitely something wrong. What does it mean for the rest of us ? I was at a race meeting in the 1970s and was talking to one of Australia's best. 5 minutes later he was dead. This has nothing to do with lack of respect - there is no respect when you are dead because you are not alive to enjoy it. If the cause of a fatality is never known - it can happen again in the same way.

I use the ignore feature on this board, add a username to 'people to ignore' list and all their posts disappear.

The ignore function works so you don't have to read an annoying jackass's posts, but that also means that when he posts his misinformation, misconceptions, and bad advise that there are fewer people to refute his baloney. People who are new to the forum get the idea that his advise might be good information, since his prolific poor posting of poppycock is refuted less and less... (<alliteration there)

Yes I would agree normally but to be honest his views are so wrong then it would have to be someone with the same distorted view to be taken in.
