View media item 144without the cover, never put it in gear, keeping the RPM's at 2K or below, I don't forsee any non lubricant issues regarding the drive components.
This is a simple test fire of the engine. I've waited a long time for the cover to come back but said to hell with it and continued assembly.
I won't keep things spinning for any prolonged length of time and I won't forget to put oil in the tank nor prime the system.

NP. Squirt or dribble some oil on the chain if it's dry. if it's still oily, don't bother.

Just spray some chain lube on the chain and fire it up, the little amount of oil in the primary case is for the chain only, belt drives run no oil in the primary at all, just don't let the chain run dry, you could even take it for a short ride if you want to, just don't stick you foot in there.

Chain and clutch bearing are about all that needs a bit of oil in there. Can be driven with boots on and pants tucked into.

CRC or lube the chain , at least . Othernthat who gives a toss .

Never seen an open primary . ?

If the chains BONE DRY , itll chew out. start to gall . Whichll keep going .

Go On . Be a Devil . Take it to 10.000 .

Er anything under redline'd be fine .

Don't forget if you run a belt drive you have to change the clutch bearing to a sealed type

If you get too happy with the prelube you will ruin a pair of trousers....

Start up (or the attempt to do so) coming soon. It' s been a year and half in restoration since I found this bike, just making sure there wasn't some ambush waiting in the bushes.
Details details, it's always in the details.
