My 1974 Commando frame has these numbers stamped on it. Vin # 850 313764 is on the ID plate on steering stem and also on the motor and tranny. I took frame and pieces to sand blaster yesterday in preparation for powder coating and noticed these numbers stamped on steering column. Very small numbers - 850 F105796 on one side and 00105 on the other. On the frame bracket that holds the coils, etc. is 064140. Anybody know what these numbers mean?

Thanks. I did further checking on this site and found the frame number information I was requesting after I posted. I will be more thorough next time before I post. Site has a tremendous amount of great Norton information. Thanks Guys.

My 1974 850 frame has all the same numbers with the exception of the F no. And lot no.

My are F108383 and 0131.

As easy as it is to change the vin tag on the Commando frame it is a good idea to write the F number on your title or somewhere to help provide proof of ownership if needed.
