I'm expecting CNW build [HASHTAG]#132[/HASHTAG] in the coming month or so and am concerned about security when parked "out-and-about"
I've looked at the various alarming disc clamps and the best appear to be either the Abus 8008 or the Artago 32(S or X).
Anyone have wisdom/views on this or better options
Cheers

Hi Rob

If I am leaving my bikes anywhere that I can't keep a eye on it I use a container lock and a heavy chain that can be put around a post that can't be cut with bolt cutters, disc locks the bike can still be lifted and put on the back of a ute easy with 2 big blokes.
But if they want your bike they will get it whether its locked or not, my 2 cattle dogs are my best sercurty at my place no one gets in my yard without someone knowing they are there.
So the Norton is on its way, good one mate and hope to catch up with you soon.

Was thinking of just getting the low tech disk clamp at one time but someone told me the biggest problem is forgetting it's there and the bike falls over when you go to roll away.

I use a padlock on the rear sprocket of my KTM, haven't forget it's there yet. The bike weighs less than 275 pounds wet so, yeah, two blokes could toss it into a truck but the padlock is a lot less hassle than a chain.

Securing a motorcycle is kind of like running from a bear. You don't have to outrun the bear, you just have to outrun the guy (or gal) your with. If your motorcycle is harder to get, they may just take someone else's. But it is true that if they want it they will get it.

I have these

For just that reason my fiend got one that had a motion sensor & alarm so that it would go off before he tried to ride away
