Well it's clearly a piece of artwork. Art is what you like and are willing to pay for .

Be careful, the early model years of those units had a tendency to fill the clock with oil when used.
There is a fix but it involves unsightly hoses.:)

With a price like that, I think I need to take a few hours of my spare time to go out to dig in the years-old pile of spares and see how long it takes to build some clocks! In a matter of minutes those second-hand parts will be worth pounds - my time will be well spent.

Value is not established by how many hours are put into something... value is established by what a buyer is prepared to pay... (although this eBay time looks like it didn’t take anyone very long at all)!

Looks ideal for a hipster's beard oil mirror!!, What a crock of @@@@

Maybe you can set an alarm to tell you when you are next due to visit the Norton factory for remedial work

I have two 961 barrels if anyone wants them - convert them to what ever you like. Brand new, never been used - bored but not honed to finished dimension.

Gotta ask... why / how dya come to have those cluttering up yer shed ??

Found them, It was a case of climb in skip to rescue them or just put them in the car. I was going or may still do, plant flowers in them and put them on the doorstep as expensive flowerpots. Brand new early barrels with liners, never been honed - any takers, even have some cam followers with them! if you can collect / pay shipping then feel to have them, if not it will be flowers.

It's the mahogany that makes it rare! They aren't growin' that stuff on trees you know...

I've had this one in the garage for years:
Cheap to make, cheaper than fixing the foot peg punch ding in the case.

I made one many years ago from a timing cover I brought off ebay for $20 and my local jeweller got me a clock that fitted the point housing for $45 it still sits on my tool board in the shed, I would make a few more but its hard now finding old timing covers cheap.

I have several sets of "rare" A10 cases and covers that are NFG. I'm going to build a few lamps out of them and retire.
