    thanks for the service bulletin. hate to disagree with the factory, but.... my cable was routed as outlined above and I have severe chaffing in several locations. the rub factor is or was so...

    Yes, it's an original aluminum tank in great shape. However, I had a steel one painted at the same time in case it succumbs to the vibration like most of them did.
