Zard Exhaust

I think they’re referring to the footrest carrier / frame. That’s different, presumably to allow a great uplift of the silencer.

Yeah, the prices on the site are steep.

Stainless - 1,614 euros or $1,828.
Titanium - 2,196 euros or $2,500.

But then I paid $2,000 for my SBN pipes and silencers back in 2013, so I have always had misplaced priorities.;)

However, I don't particularly care for the raw finish of the welds/pipes.
Maybe ok on a modern sport/naked bike, but on my Commando I want polished S/S.

I may be naive but i’d Have thought you could get a one off made for that sort of money. Must be lots of specialists here in the UK. What about whoever is making the 2 in to 1 pipe for the 961 street?

I’m looking for an exhaust upgrade. Perhaps a bulk buy deal to be had.

The trouble with a custom job is that whilst you’ll get what you want looks wise (perhaps), it’s effect on performance, and mapping, will be a stab in the dark.

Hold fire on buying anything cos word is the factory will start selling the 2:1 system as fitted to the street as an aftermarket kit.

That’s unlikely to be very cheap though cos it necessitates replacing the footrest frames with Domimator parts. Which also means no pillion pegs.

It looks nice though, and apparently runs great.

Nigel,

You know a guy who says...., or did you hear from an actual Norton factory entity?
Do the Dominator footrest frames even fit the Commando?
And why are they made for the Dominator, when Norton have sold far more Commandos?
And why is there still no factory supercharger for the 961?

Yes it’s factory info.

I believe they use the Dommie footrest frames to allow the exhaust to tuck up tighter / higher.

No excuse for lack of supercharger...

Close up of the Hard 2:1 exhaust bracket. Hopefully this image is visible. I've been having trouble uploading it.

The bracket that holds the mid pipe to the bikes frame is a weak spot and not at the weld point. The metal snapped from vibration. Finally got around to repairing it.

I've had similar issues with silencer bracket on right side SBN gen1 silencer.
Had to get is welded twice.
Second one was more stout, and seems to have done the trick.
