Well, my Mum informed me today that we motorcyclists actually have a patron saint.
He is St. Columbanus (540 - 615AD), an Irish monk/missionary who was often on the road.
This love of the open road inspired the Rev. John Oliver (1935 - ), an Anglican bishop and biker, to suggest St. Columbanus as the patron of motorcyclists (not sure when this happened)
He actually looks a bit like a fourth member of ZZ Top below.

Who knew.... ?

I was raised Anglican and was a founding member of Truro Saints in 1975, a Rugby Club , but still ...

And the Lord said: 'Let those who rejoice in the contraptions from the Isle of Britannia be blessed with great patience and be of sound limb and deep pockets... For they will come to know many periods of great silence and physical exertion, and upon them will be a plague of weeping fluids and the curse of much vibration.... and they may even suffer the ridicule of those who would cast doubt upon the wisdom of their choice.. But they will seek solace and gather with other similarly tormented souls.. and their ills will be cured'

Who knew? Well, I guess I did. My Icon brand hi-viz vest has a small pouch on inside which had something concealed within. Further investigation revealed this very same saint in trinket/icon form lashed to vest material.
Kinda pissed me off, as I do not like others pushing such beliefs on me. Certainly would have affected a purchase decision if known prior.

There is bigger shit to be pissed about.

I'm free to get pissed at anything I want to. This includes being fooled into spending money on items I do not want to be associated with.

Like peeling a "Beto" bumper sticker off a used car that you buy, there is a very easy resolution. Did you not remove and dispose of it?

Yeah especially in the states at this storm tossed time:
" I don't care if it rains or freezes
as long as I got my Plastic Jezus glued up on the
dashboard of my car.
I kin go a hunnred miles an hour long as I got it up there
next to my fuzzy dice"
..or something pretty close to that.

My wife has the St Christopher metal in our Land Rover sits on the dash board, I'm not religious but the wife is, so far after 14 years on the dash we have been safe with no accidents, but he didn't protects us from a blown throw out bearing when traveling, blew 4km from our destination and far away from home.
